Finding the RIGHT role model in life…

Looking back over the years, I am so grateful for having in my life the role models that have inspired me to be the person I am today. But there are many in this world who go through life with a sense of knowing what is a good role model or what is bad. First off I just want to stress the importance that there is technically nothing right/nothing wrong as we each have our own belief systems of what we want and believe in for our lives.

But the question remains, “How do we know what and who is a ‘RIGHT’ role model for us to mold our lives into?

First off you have to take a look at your goals and your current situation in life. Are you living the life that you currently have? Are the role models you have in your life a positive factor in life to make you want to improve and advance in your life? Are you doing the things they did to make your goals are success?

Whilst pondering those questions, its good to consider that our life becomes what we constantly think about. Everyone who has accomplished anything only got there by continually thinking and acting out certain thoughts.

Picture yourself in life like an actor. Now what makes the acting craft very specialised is that an actor can create a character and in that moment on screen or on stage, for those minutes they are literally that person. Also some actors take it to another extreme by being a ‘method’ actor and actually living the character and never breaking from it until the production is completed.

Likewise, in life, like it all not, we are all ‘actors’. We have the skill to decide who we want to model our life after and the best way to do this is by doing the things that will bring similar success.

So after reading this, I want you to consider deeply the questions that are posed in this blog and start to seek out role models who have accomplished what you are wanting to do. By doing this, you will start to live and accomplish your deepest dreams.

Making the most of you time…

It occurred to me that we sometimes take life and time for granted. We wake up every morning, brush our teeth, get dressed for work, work 8 to 12 hours, come home, watch tv have dinner and go to sleep again… And without us knowing, our lives start to play on repeat every day until we get to a point when we realise that we are stuck in a rut and that we need to get ourselves out of it.

So if we are stuck in a rut, how do we get ourselves out of it? For starters we need to recognise what is keeping us in the rut in the first place. We do this by taking a deep and long look at our lives.

Do you remember waking up when you were a child feeling excited about the whole day? Do you remember how it felt? How about the energy you felt and the excitement of waking up and going out to have fun?

How come things are not like they use to be when you were young?

You might say that it is because you have more responsibility and that you don’t have time for childish games and behaviour. But how come it is right for children to see the world through playful eyes and not adults? How come children use there time to enjoy their lives and play then grow up and forget to enjoy their lives?

The reason is we all believe that to grow up is the right thing to do. Yes we need to start taking control of our lives and then start looking after others like our family members… but somewhere along the way we forget about looking after the one person who was there for you when you were young…your inner child.

We need to let out our inner child to play and enjoy life. We need to allow our imagination to run crazy and enjoy the time we have. Do you make time every day to let your inner child out?

Why not every morning when you wake up, just imagine you are that child again and jump out of bed (make sure that you don’t hurt yourself) and start the day off by believing you are going to have a fun day. And if you have to go to work, treat it like play-time… find something enjoyable to do whilst at work. Seize the day with fun and enjoyment not drudgery and boredom. Life is meant to be enjoyed so live it. If you don’t like your current job then change it. If you don’t like where your living, find another place to live. Do the things that bring you happiness not depression.

Find that inner child and make the most of the time you have in life 🙂

Are the friends in your life the ones you really want?

Have you ever wondered why you have people who come in and out of your life?

Over the years I have noticed that certain people come into you for a reason, season or a lifetime. We each play a role in each other’s lives. But right now in your life, are the people in your life the ones that inspire you and move you to the next phase in your life?

Whenever it comes to achieving wealth, health, happiness, success etc…it is all determined on what we put into our minds and then transfer out with our actions. Now around you right now you would be able to count your 5 closest friends… Are these 5 close friends ones that inspire you to achieve great wealth, health, happiness, success etc ???

If not, why not take a constructive look and see what will be best for your spiritual/emotional and physical growth in life if they continued to stay in your life. Whoever we associate more time with we start to imitate and become.

For an example: If you start associating with ones who take illegal drugs what will happen? Well most likely you will start to take on aspects of their personality and become like them. And on the other hand, what happens if you constantly associated with ones who are always happy, wealthy, healthy, focused, positive etc? Well the same would happen, you would become like them…

So in conclusion, the greatest benefit I have ever had is knowing how to choose the ones that are in my life. Our time on planet Earth is limited, so why waste your time with ones who do not truly appreciate you and inspire you to become a better person?

Morning rituals you can add to shift your day & life!!!

I’ve been asked a few times what are the things I do to start my day off on a good start. Many wonder how come I can be so bubbly and full of enthusiasm at the crack of dawn. Well in this blog I will outline what I do that I find beneficial in shifting my day into a positive awareness for the day and into the days to come.

To start off with, I will have to outline that what I do takes about 2 hours and that if you are able to keep to it for a minimum of 30 days then you will see REMARKABLE shift in your life in the areas of wealth, health, relationships etc…

What I do for my morning rituals:

1. Gratitude – Every morning I wake up and thank life, Universe, God, whatever you may call it for all the wonderful things I currently have in my life and for the things to come.

2. Visualisation/Affirmations – For a few minutes I sit peacefully in a quiet area and just relax and visualise what I want to come into my life and feel that it is ‘already’ in my life. I also add affirmations of ‘I am successful at whatever I do’ or ‘ Everything I want and need is always coming into my life’ Affirmations are use to re-wire your neural pathways and allow you to stay focused on what you really want in life.

3. Exercise – Exercise for me can be a lovely walk out in nature, on the beach bare foot soaking up the suns rays. The point of exercise is to get the blood flowing through your body, to relive stress and to promote a healthier lifestyle. What I also do is for 2 minutes a day bounce (I know it sounds funny) but bounce on my small portable trampoline. Doing this activates the neural peptides that create the emotion of happiness. Its really fun, you should try 🙂

4. Eating a healthy breakfast – Start the day off with a breakfast filled with fresh fruit and cut out all foods that are processed. I find that starting the day off like this gives me so much energy and drive to go out and enjoy the day.

5. Inspirational reading/viewing  – This is a MUST, as when we start off our day watching or reading inspirational material it allows our brains to start firing faster and directing our focus towards what we really want in life. It is always inspiring reading or watching youtube videos of ones who have accomplished great feats despite mounting opposition or hardships. Kinowing that others go through these challenges can build our faith in knowing that if they can do it, then I can do it as well.

Acknowledging F.E.A.R and moving forward…

When I sat I my pc today, I took some time to reflect on what I have done in my life to get me to where I am now and what I have to do to get me to where I want to go. What I noticed is that the things I have done to get me to where I am, I had once considered as fearful to do. Whenever we want to make any imporvement in our lives be it financial, health, relationships etc, there will always be that little nagging voice in our mind that keeps saying “Hey you can’t do that…”

And so what happens?

We begin to listen and believe that we can’t do it and then we end up not doing it or failing and giving up in the process. I know all of you reading this would know what F.E.A.R really means? To some who don’t it is: False Evidence Appearing Real. Now at first we all think that that is great to know that but what is involved is applying it into our lives.

Everything we have been taught ever since we were little was done through filters of F.E.A.R. Some of it we need so as to protect us from harm, but what about the 99% of F.E.A.R? Do we really need F.E.A.R in manifesting money or F.E.A.R in starting a new relationship or even F.E.A.R in creating the life we really want to live. But to put it plainly, all those thoughts that are running around your head consuming your time with F.E.A.R.S and doubts are just the excess baggage that someone else has unloaded onto us intentionally or unintentionally. We carry all this F.E.A.R and we consider it ‘Normal’ to have as everyone else has it, but what would it take to prove that F.E.A.R is wrong? What would you have to do?

Well one thing that I find most effective for myself is to find someone who has also gone through or completed a goal or challenge that seemed fearful. We live in the age where unlimited knowledge is at our fingertips and all we have to do to find out someone elses experience is by reading or even watching videos of ones accomplishing great feats inspite of F.E.A.R.

So when it comes to that False Evidence Appearing Real, all we have to know is that there is someone out there in this world that has gone through that experience or challenge and have come out victorious and can be found with a click of a button.

Finding time to create the life that you want to live…

Sometimes we go through life thinking that ‘we can’t create the life we want’ or ‘I will never be able to live like that’ or ‘go travel to that place’ etc… And what happens is that we start to have this form of negative thinking being ingrained into our subconscious mind. I will admit that sometimes I do fall back into this type of thinking. There was a time when I did not believe that I could live the lifestyle that I have now. But what if I was to share with you 1 method that I found to be very powerful that has opened up doors for myself and Jerry to live the life we have now? And the secret is:

Focus.

You need to really focus on what you want in life. The world is full of distractions and we sometimes get caught up living other people’s dreams. But to live our own dream we need to make certain on what we really want.

Ask yourself these questions:What do you see youself doing in the future? What would you do if you knew that you couldn’t fail? If you didn’t have to earn money, what career would you do?

These few questions are excellent ignition switches to our subconscious mind to help us to fire up new ways in thinking. We sometimes forget to take a step back and ask ourselves these questions. But by asking questions, it allows us to shift our thinking into a firing new neural connections which will allow us to start thinking and feeling what we ‘really’ want in our lives.
